Jacob W. Heller, the senior member of the firm, graduated magna cum laude from Yeshiva University (1956) and from Yale University Law School (1959), where he was a member of the Board of Editors of the Yale Law Journal and the Order of the Coif.  Since clerking for Judge Charles W. Froessel of the New York Court of Appeals, Jacob has been in private practice in New York City.  Prior to founding Heller, Horowitz & Feit, P.C. in 1979, Jacob was a senior partner in the law firm of Weiss, Rosenthal, Heller & Schwartzman.  Jacob has been counsel in a number of high-profile litigations, and is highly-regarded for his trial and appellate advocacy in commercial and white-collar criminal litigation including securities matters.  In addition, Jacob has practiced extensively in general corporate, securities and real estate matters.
